Action Plan:

  • Sign up for all of the social media channels that you think are relevant to your business (yes, even LinkedIn).

  • Start making content that best speaks to who you are, and will establish you as an expert in your field.

  • Engage with the people who are engaging with your profile. Also go out and engage with potential followers, in an effort to entice them to follow you back.

  • Take some time to create your ideal customer “personas,” ie. who would most benefit from, or be interested in your product or service. Then create content that would speak most directly to those individuals. Use the hashtags they might follow.

  • Customer journey: Awareness -> Interest -> Consideration -> Conversion. Learn this, love this, dream about this. Figure out ways to reach your customers at every stop on their journey, that ultimately leads to you getting paid the big bucks!

  • Every time a social channel comes out with a new feature, USE IT. The algorithm looooooves when you play the game.
